....and that's why she's green haha
I'll add more white spirit upon the second and third coats . How long did your paint take to harden ?

I did two coats on the cab section & just one on the camper bit.
The cab section was done on really hot days so 24 hours after the first coat,it was ready for a second one.

Hi jim

I was toying with the idea of painting her the original vomit color mustard yellow but that would have been too cruel then around 25 years ago they painted her blue (previous owner sent a pic of her parked next to lake garda) so blue was out of the question then last year whilst messing around painting a pic of her on the pc I came up with the pic in my sig and my mind was made up :)

and so far to get me to the stage I am in the above photo its probably cost about £40 hence beauty on a budget are you going to strip and spray ?

I used a roller .

it does give a smooth finish if you thin it out with enough white spirit and build up the layers some recommendations were to mix it 50/50 then add about 6 layers with the last coat cut and buffed but I mainly wanted coverage for the journey to poland so mixed it 4/1 for a thicker coat it still needs at least another coat but I cant stress enough that time spent on prep , filling and smoothing is 3 quarters of the battle .

any areas I found that were rusty I gave them a once over with a wire brush attached to an angle grinder then treated with Kurust areas like the inside of the doors I put the kurust inside a spray bottle for those hard to reach nooks and crannies :)
