A leak test.

Hi to all,

After the rain down pour this morning between four and six o'clock and the flooding that all around I thought I should check the old Bedford for any leaks, because I have spent time trying reseal roof-lights and body seams over the years and not a drip anywhere inside the van, very "impressed"!
All my work has been worth-while!

Good work indeed. Out of interest what do you use to seal the body seams?

Sealing the seams.

Hi Mike,

After trying several recommended brands of sealant I reverted to a building trade sticky backed flash band bought from Wick's, cutting it into strip's wide enough to rap-over the seams from the side of the campervan over onto the roof.
Then giving it a gentle heat with a hot-air gun just to melt the sticky backing making it completely water tight, this flash-band can then be painted over.
