New CF Owner

Just got myself a CF 250 Motorhome and found this site result. Had it 6 weeks parked it on the flat leaked like a sieve seller omitted this in his description anyway new skylights timber and resealing seam to have done the trick. whipped the 2.3 and fitted a 2.0 se casrlton lump with 5 speed box fuel injected. Just waiting for the prop to come back then its on the road.
Good to find this site, happy camping

Hello. Welcome to the forum. you certainly hit the ground running with that conversion. Please let us know how it works out. I see the gearstick has gone back a bit and it will be interesting to see if the engine being further forward will affect the handling but I'm assuming the 8valve will lighter so hopefully not. Will you need to fit a crossflow rad in the front panel or is clearance ok.

Regards Andy

Hi thanks, the engine i reckon is around 20 kilos lighter and the box although longer is all alloy. I have driven it on the road and the gear lever is now angled forward and I actually find it more comfortable to drive than leaning forward. I put the Carlton radiator in just welded the carlton rad mounts to the bottom of the bumper and it fits well, there is around a inch between the fins and the front of the fan blades. The header tank is fitted to the left of the master cylinder above the air box and around the same height as the heater box so no problems bleeding the system. so far so good
