One thing leads to another.

Hi to all,

While correcting the tank breather pipe problem I noticed another one, the frontward UJ joint on the prop-shaft had a fair amount of movement on it so happy with the tank connections I removed the prop-shaft.
And after closer inspection in the vice I decided to replace the UJ joint and found that both joints had lost there grease nipples, so the new joint fitted and fully greased up, centre-joint bearing checked the prop-shaft was refitted.
On the test drive I found I had no fuel gauge working so it was back underneath to correct a bad connection on the tank unit, let's hope that's all the underside work done for a while!

One thing after another continues.

Hi to all,

I managed to get too close to a gate post at my daughters house and while making sure I missed it I caught the bottom corner just below the entry door on a stone sticking out of a stone wall round the house next door, the corner of the bodywork turned out to be made up of fillers and fell to bits.
So from seven until ten I have been pushing panels back into place and repairing the damage, so a rub down in the morning and a quick coat of paint and all will be back to normal.

And another.

Hi to all,

It is after a knock like this that I began to see just how much bodging work has gone on long before you owned the campervan, in one way that good old knock has meant a far better repair being done.
But this has been a week of things being broken or failing to work as they should do, let's hope that is my turn over for a while!

And another.

Hi to all,

Having now solved the petrol leek and smell problem and a few other annoying bits and pieces the speedo cable broke on my way home last night, at the gearbox end of cause leaving a piece stuck inside the drive tube which I so far have been unable to get out.
About to try a piece of thin plastic tube with some glue on the end, pushed in and left to hopefully take hold of the broken piece and allow me to gentle pull out of the drive tube maybe!

And another.

Hi to all,

Another breather pipe blockage on my trip down to Moffat caused by the breather canister clogging, once it was removed problem solved for now at least.
A bottom end over-hall might be on the cards, apart from that the lady ran well and I met up with a few old friends and spend too much money!

A resent chain of events.

Hi to all,

After the engine related events of this year mainly due to oil loss through leaking seals I think it might be time for an engine out and an over-hall of the bottom end, so maybe this winter if I manage to finish this season some much needed repairs can be carried out.

remade exhaust system.

Hi to all,

After my broken exhaust repair it does seem to be louder because I changed the silencer box, but as long as it does the job and does not leak it will do the job.
