Ireland Sites

One of the nicest sites `i`ve visited at Lough Key Forest Park at Boyle. On the N4 between Carrick -on Shannon and Sligo.Very similar in layout to Snowdonia National F.P but in euro. For you UK plebs lough is Irish for lake and is pronounced `lock` so you should be able to remember lock and key eh? 16 euro per day with lecky, facilities as good as you need and the kids won`t spend all your loot there as the playgrounds and adventures are magnificent! More to come as I visit

Next one on the N61 at Knockcroghery (yes I know---it breaks if you do that:D ) Gailey Bay C & C on the shore of Lough Ree, so handy for the fisherman who likes brown trout.Well signposted between Athlone and Roscommon. Very neat and tidy with tarmac pitches in grassy lawns. email is gaileybay at eircom.net and the owner and his missus are human beings. Boat hire if you want to fish off shore or see the lake (very pretty). Well used by the locals-always a good sign.May to October:)
