Saw a pair of Bambi's (Bambii?) heading north on the A34 out of Oxford toward M40 on Sunday afternoon (2nd August). The front one had a 'Bambi Owners Club' sticker on the back. As you can imagine, they were not travelling very fast!!!!! And looked a little the worse for wear.... (but not as bad as my Bedouin Carl Ps. Long shot - Anyone here know the whereabouts of Bedouin reg: RLC223L? Apparently DVLA list it as unlicenced so there is still hope..... would love to get it back!!! c | Thu 06 Aug 2009 @ 19:52 |

hmm.. bluebedouin- I'd love to be optimistic and think its undergoing a lenghty restoration, though perhaps the Icelandic roads led to chronic RSI (or beddy equivalent!) ---------------------- | Fri 07 Aug 2009 @ 13:50 |

Ex Army Beddy? Spotted this in a boatyard in Barmouth last week. Spoke to a guy working there and he said the yard owner was using it in a field up until about 2 months ago and drove it to the yard to store it. Unfortunately the guy wasn't there so couldn't ask him anything about it. Just wondered if anyone had ever seen one of these before. To me it looks ex Army. It's not 4x4 but just well jacked up with about 14" ground clearance at the diff & the fuel tank re-positioned in the side. Very interesting vehicle me thought ---------------------- | Tue 11 Aug 2009 @ 00:33 |

There was difinitely a 4x4 cf2, but possibly cf as well: http://www.speedace.info/automotive_directory/bedford.htm The pics you took seem to have Landrover Defender wing mirrors- likely to be a custom job? ---------------------- | Tue 11 Aug 2009 @ 10:13 |

Cutting off the sills, footwells & rear corner box sections won't do a lot for structural integrity... ---------------------- | Wed 12 Aug 2009 @ 12:36 |

I agree on that one Phil. I thought at first it was maybe either a purpose made 4x4 Bedford or maybe someone had somehow mated the body up with a Landy chassis or something. But when I looked under it there is only 2WD and it has Beddy front suspension too...just higher. Next time I'm up that way I'll maybe pop in and see if the owner is about. ---------------------- | Wed 12 Aug 2009 @ 15:22 |

Nine pages of `Beddy Spotting` with no show, and now two turn up in a week. Thanks to Rufus from Dublin (non-member {as yet}) and Dave and his Missus from Leeds, who braved the Irish summer, just to have a look round this lovely Isle. Both committed CF owners, with very nice Mk 1`s. No photo`s (photobucket is too public for my tastes).8) ---------------------- | Fri 14 Aug 2009 @ 08:21 |

Spotted next to the Worcester Birmingham Canal - just a stones throw from the motorway. Looks a bit leaky around the top, and there is a section cut out just below where the tax disc sits | Mon 31 Aug 2009 @ 21:43 |
