a link to some items of interest in the area..

http://www.fenswaterways.com/intro.asp

for maurice, you might like to look at some of the slipway stuff as you are interested in boats..

the fens area is where we allowed some of the first english to land and live [couldn't winkle the b*****s out, too much water]

it's part of the broads and is a system of canals which lots of people like to take boats on for holidays

No problem Jeff:
You take a ferry to Australia, you drive North, then an other ferry to Kwala Lumpur, then you drive all the way through Malaisia, Thailand, Burma(beware of trafic jams on Friday evening), Bengladesh, India and Kashmere until you reach Khiber Pass, then you call on the phone I'll direct you to France, the only problem is to cross the chanel...weather permitting.
;D

Big problem Jeff:
It's not the weather, it's the French they keep blockading the ports, and when at last you get to British (English soil) you will find they have closed the only way to the meet the M25 for the 5th. time that day, anyway its raining and the M20 which leads to the M25 is closed due to flooding,

Gee!!!... Bear !
That will be the hell of a trip! I hope you will make it for Easter meeting because I'd like to discuss this with you, and unfortunately, I have got no chance to be there in May.

I suggest to put this subject on "general chat" Since there is a lot to say on it

Buzzing

Thank you for that comment Maurice.
I have never thought about doing that, but what a trip that would be.
I'm not free to do it for a few years yet, but you might just get that phone call. I've been buzzing about it all day.
Now ....How to sell it to my wife?

Bear, I look forward to reading your thoughts on the trip, so please present them here when you are ready.
Thanks everyone.
