Welcome Matt, Sally & family to the perfect site to gain enjoyment from your Bedford.

Nice Advantura you have there.....

The main area of concern to keep on top of with these is to keep the damp at bay. Check all seams and joints - where the walls meet the roof, over the cab etc. Also the openings in the roof.
If all looks fine, or smells fine, then invest in a damp meter to check in future. It is better to catch damp ingress early than to have to deal with its effects laterm

Enjoy your van - its a classic!!!

Thanks Andy..(about the damp!)....got to replace all the roof vents...2 are leaking..will post a pic for those that hopefully know better, soon but am hoping it's not to difficult a job? The van is totally original and untouched inside..feels like we've inherited an antique...my Mum said 'you can't touch it' I think it takes her back a while, is the view that it's okay to do what you want to the inside or best to leave it all original? Matt

What a fab site!!!!!

DON'T CHANGE IT!!
Seriously - if it is that original, and it is ok by you, then if it was mine then I would keep it original....
But that is just MY fettish!!!

Hi Matt

Welcome to CK UK. I have a CF350, which is a Glevum never seen another like it. I too had 2 leaking roof vents and replced them, fairly easy job compared to everything else that needed doing !....see 'margrae's little problem' an understatement at the least !
Been out in mine now a couple of times, very roomy and comfortable.
Hope you have fun in yours.

Hi Matt,
Welcome to this amazing site!
I totally agree with Andy, if possible dont change it too much. she seems pretty special if shes still original.
Good luck with changing the roof vents. I dont have a clue about any of these things and have had some awful problems with our van recently but this site has got us through with support and fantastic advice.
Hope you all enjoy her for many years to come
Sarah

Hi Matt and Sal

We have a 5 berth 2.3 petrol automatic CF350 Advantura, very similar to yours. (lovingly called Elvis, because of the RV on the film cars lol).

Don't let the scare mongering put you off, i.e damp etc, these are old vans, and need TLC every year.
#Doing my rust prevention as we speak,

Looks like you have a nice van there.

You've chosen the right site to join, theres a lot of very helpful people on here, always only to willing to help out where they can.

Hope to see you around, our vans in for its mot next week, all being well it will be going to the Blackpool meet in September for the lights.

Hi Matt,
Your 350 looks identical to my 280, not sure what the difference is but your van looks great!
I am only up the road in the Forest of Dean, I would love to have a look at your van sometime to give me some idea of what mine should look like!
keep your as original as possible, they are best that way (unlike mine).....
Regs,
Spence
