First Cf breakdown!
Well, we took the Cf to tatton park car show, got there fine, no trouble. After a nice night spent in the van, we set off home. after literally 100 yards the temprature guage fires out into, then past the red and the needle dissapears off teh clock.
I thought, The guage has finally had it. no problem carry on. We get near lymm services and i hear this strange hissing noise. Hmm i thought, maybe i should stop. so we pull into the services and theres steam everywhere. Excellent. turns out the repair i had done on the thermostat housing (metal putty) had failed and the van had emptied its water all over the exhaust manifold!
After a quick repair using a spair rad hose and another jubilee clip, we were on our way, got home no problem!
On that note does anybody have a thermostat housing for a cf2 2.0?

Hi sorry to hear about you breakdown and glad to hear you made it home, was you showing your van at Tatton Park or did you just go as a spectator and did they charge you for camping?.

Yes we had the van booked in to show, and they dont charge for camping if your staying in your exhibit vehicle

I was at Tatton Park too with my Chevette HSR, it managed to turn itself into a kettle on the way in due to the traffic.
I blame it on the missus taking forever getting ready in the morning, nothing to do with me not checking the water level before setting off. All ok now, filled it up

Hello Sandy,
Are you positive? Was it terminal? I'm trying not to start something here.

Sandy, I didn't know you were addicted to acid, did they put you in a cell over night and charge you? I suppose it could have been worse, you could have been done for assault and battery.
