alternator hi just ANOTHER quick oneive just the alternator on and pulled it so as the tension was right and replaced the wire bit into the back .........the question is does that wire plug bit only go on one way ie i cant put it wrong way round . many thanks got it nip out so cant put battery on till i return ---------------------- | Mon 22 Apr 2013 @ 17:15 |

If its the Lucas alternator then the plug only fits 1 way. Some have a Bosch unit with a 2 pin plug which only fit 1 way but there are 2 logs for the 12v output to fit onto you need to connect up to the + terminal. | Mon 22 Apr 2013 @ 21:16 |

cheers gethin tis sorted one thing im wandering is the voltage ....im putting out about 12.8 to 13 at stand by about 14 when revving thats about right isnt it .. id like to thank john for sorting me out by the way ............................................ thanks john ---------------------- | Tue 23 Apr 2013 @ 20:37 |
