fuel filter

Yesterday old Brenda wouldn't start, she was raring to go but just wouldnt fire. I looked under the bonnet and noticed the fule filer was almost empty. managed to pour in some pertol and filled it up, turned the key and away she went. Had no problems starting her this morning? could this be the fuel pump on the way out?
any info would be good

sound like it.

either fit a replacement fuel pump or convert to electric.
