more brake problems! What is it with me and brakes?Still not got mine sorted and now the father in law's cf 250 has lost its pedal. This has a different set up to mine as it has a dual circuit set up. The reservoir seems to have two chambers in it as the chamber nearest the servo is very low and the front one is at its usual level. I tried to get over and look at it tonight but I lost the light. My question is with these symptoms where should I start looking? Any help that could save me some time tomorrow night I'll be very greatly appreciated cos I'm supposed to be working on my van this weekend! Steve ---------------------- | Fri 20 Sep 2013 @ 21:01 |

the pipe nearest the servo is the rear brakes. sounds like you have a weeping wheel cylinder | Sat 21 Sep 2013 @ 14:04 |

Thanks Gethin, I think I have the problem solved. When he first got the van started the handbrake was stuck solid. He had to drive the van back and forward to get the handbrake to release. I think this knocked the adjusters out and he lost the pedal. I have bled the brakes through and got no air and topped the reservoir up and now seems to be good. Can't see signs of any leaks.
