Broken shock absorbers.
Hi to all,
Had a little day out at the seaside to day but on the way back we crossed the Tay bridge and came through Dundee along the riverside drive and past the airport, while pasting through a number of so called ramps very slowly but aware of how deep they were I burst one shock absorber and broken the lower carrier plate on the other.
So I know what I will be working on tomorrow!

Shocking work.
Hi to all,
The pot-hole damage and ramp damage was extensive off-side shock stay in one piece but the bottom plate was missing one treaded stud snapped off, near-side shock bottom plate in place but lower shock pin sheared off.
Still have a wee bit more work to do but I have two shocks back in place and have made up a new bottom plate and welded in new treaded studs so getting there!

Shocking repairs.
Hi to all,
After a days work on the old Bedford's front shockers fitting a spare one I had to replace the broken one and making up a new carrier plate for the other one I am back on the road again.

That road was a shocker! Drive it every day.... But not in my Bedford. It's in a shed in NI getting body work done... Hoping to get it over to Perth soon. Any bedford owners around perth I'd love to touch base... Jason

Hi Jmca74,
I think there is still one guy in Crieff because I supplied him with a recon gearbox for it last year, there is another guy in Dundee and two more in Fife all with Bedford's.

Shockabsorbers
Hi Jimfixit,
The part number on the invoice is XV2049, but the part number on the old unit is 2263 1047 1KA 16 255.
I hope this is of some use to you.
