DIFF AND DIZZZY
HI CAN ANY ONE TELL ME IF MY 2.3 PETROL AUTOSLEEPER 1981 REG HAS A LOW RATIO DIFF AND IF SO IS THERE A HIGHER RATIO DIFF I CAN FIT, TO HELP MY MPG FIGURES. ALSO CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WERE I CAN GET A ELECTRONIC DIZZY FOR THIS VAN ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATFULLY RECIEVED THANKS TERRY

Electronic egnition
Hi,can you please switch your letters to small as large text is like shouting.You can get an electronic ignition from Adrian Baily,they cost about £70 I think.Is your van a CF2 and is it 5 speed.Cheers+Beers Jim.

hi, sorry about caps lock, its a 82 y reg im told its a cf2 but new to motor homes so not sure, it is a 2.3 petrol automatic not a manual can I still get a dizzy for it thanks terry

Hi,You can get one from Adrian Bailey on 01132 634288.I think that you will need to change the g/box to a manual.Try contacting Colin as he can explain it better than I can.Cheer+Beers,Jim

Electronic upgrade.
Hi tezcarp,
The cost of buying the kit you will need and the gain to your fuel consumption on an automatic would be minimal, are you sure it is a 2.3 slant engine or is it a 2.1 Opel/Vauxhall engine.

Hello.
Your CF is a facelift model (1981-84) which had changes to the body,lights,master cylinder and dashboard but should still have drum brakes on the front. The 2.3 slant petrol engine in mine which is also an 82 on a Y reg has electronic ignition which was factory fitted from 82 on. Have you taken the cap off to confirm that yours is an earlier points fitted distributor.
