Dynamic timing CF2
Hi,
How do you slacken off the distributor on the CF2 (2.0T engine) to adjust dynamic timing? There is a bolt that looks like it should do this but when I undo it, the distributor still doesn't turn.
Thanks,
Stu

Clamp bolt.
Hi stuvaux,
If you have backed off the clamp bolt you should be able to turn the distributor if it is still too tight give it a soak with WD40 a couple of times and try again.
Make sure the vacuum advance pipe is off and turn the tick-over down as far as possible, make sure you have the engine at full running temp before you retime it.

Hi doujoy,
Thanks for the advice, should have time to give that a go tomorrow. At least I have the timing marks on the crank pulley now
Thanks,
