Our Bedford trip to Oslo & back
Hi all,
Charlotte and I reached our 25th wedding anniversary in August this year (2016) and to celebrate we decided to take our Bedford CF250 Autosleeper (and our dog Morgan) on an adventure through Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway then back again taking 3 weeks.
Below are some pictures illustrating our trip.
Camping in Germany
Ferry across the Elbe
Broken down in Sweden (electrical connection)
Breakfast in Sweden
Morgan looks out over Oslo harbour
Party time in Norway
By the lake (Norway)
On the boardwalk
Off the boardwalk
Stuck in sand at the lake
Towed out of the sand
In the Norwegian countryside
Another day at the lake

Charlotte relaxing at the cabin
On the road to Sweden
The house by lake Vanern (Sweden)
Waiting for ferry in Gothenburg to Denmark
Camping in Denmark
Brewing up
Blokhus beach Denmark
Ferry back across the Elbe

Hi Jim,
Thanks yes it was a great trip.
We lost reverse gear when we got stuck in the sand on the beach. If anyone has a layshaft gear cluster (shaft is ok) for vauxhall 4 speed please let me know. See picture of ours !
Cheers, Colin

Hi Colin,
Very nice looking van you got there. And I'm sure you had a great time on your trip. We've done exactly the same a few times ourselves to visit friends in Oslo. Traveled all the way up to Hirtshals in Denmark than a ferry across to Kristiansand and up to Oslo.
And we've driven to Travemunde in Germany, taken a ferry to Malmo/Sweden, then driven to Vasteras to see some other friends there. Scandinavia is so beautiful and relaxing to drive through.
This summer we went to France. First to a National Forest near Troyes in the North East, then west to the Loire Valley.
And people always stop and look at the old CF and can't believe we do all these miles in an old motorhome.

Thanks Frank,
We did ferry from Frederikshaven to Gothenburg but the Hirtshals one would have got us there quicker.
We've also done the ferry from Puttgarten in Germany to Denmark then across the Oresund to Malmo.
Cheers, Colin
