Great time!
Hi Everyone
Thanks to everyone at the Easter Meet for making myself & Moira welcome. Great hospitality, weather superb, great company, hope everyone got home safe.
After leaving Sunday afternoon, we drove up to Lincoln then up A15 to Humber Bridge, then along humber to Spurn point. Wild camped at the back of pub right on the end of the estuary - great location. Then headed back to Leeds on Monday afternoon, picked up my son & daughter and headed to York for 2 days fishing. Got back today. The van did us proud, clocked up some miles and is now having a well earned rest!!! Be good to sleep in my own bed after 6 days in a Beddy.
Hope to see you all soon! - Cyril I will ring you next week re: wheel arch.
Take care!
ITS BIG, ITS BAD, ITS A BEDDY!!!

Well Guy’s
That’s what we could say was a great success pity with so many members of this great C.F. site only about 14 Vans turned up (but that was about 40 humans + lots of animals), they missed a great B/Q a lot of Maurice’s wine, lot’s of various beers and a few sprits i.e. Jack Ddddddddsssss
And it was great to see Allan, Richard and Kim, banger driver -dyke jumper and his carer Kim (he needs one after that attempt) hopefully they can all afford to buy a Bedford and get a gold card for the next meet, except and tent peg Pete, cause he’s got one and it’s all gas.
Also if you are a great dog lover there were nearly as many dogs as people Roi only brought 3 huskies this time, only to pull him home if he broke down.
Also we had a Sat Nav parrot called Alfie to tell us our way home (and he bites)
So next time could we have some of our lovely member’s from Aus, N.Z, Canada, Holland and of course from Eire (B.H.)
We all hope to see you soon Bob H.( Moderator) next time lucky with opp

hey every one
from the photos it looks like it was a great weekend and the weather was fantastic
im so gutted that i couldnt make it up. but every thing that could go wrong did last weekend
thursday evening i started out ok but as the van hasnt been running for 6 months due to the gear box being broken she didnt like going for a long run and she through all sorts of things at me. the points went then the mixture was to rich and that kept flooding number 3 which in turn killed the plug so i was half way up the A1 and only firing on three! and due to the old girl sitting for so long the rocker cover gasket had gone hard and leaked oil all over the alternator and the gave up the ghost. so it was back home on the back of an AA truck where i spent all friday and late in to friday night getting her running just in time to have the other half call to find out when i was coming to join her.
and that was just the van. i wont even start on waking up early friday morning to find a window smashed on the merc. the annoying thing is they didnt even steal anything!
so i guess it will have to be next year that i get to catch up with you all that dont make it to the may meet.
Maurice. id still like to pick your brain about driving through Iran

Hi Bear,
Yes Maurice is the best bet,
But it would seem that you don't wear a Royal Navy uniform in Iran,

Hello Everybody
We arrived home Sunday night in fairly good condition after 1500 Kms through Belgium and France. I will not take the Belgium line anymore. The sailing is long, not very friendly, in Belgium the Flamish people are not smiling (to Frenchies I suspect) and so on...
But the English part was terrible! Paulette and me appreciated every minute of it. It was great time with great people. Our remark was that it would'nt be possible to gather 30 French people of 15 families for 3 days without a fight or a big dispute, but with English, it worked very well.
Thanks to all of you for your kindness and your efforts to understand our English speaking
On the way back, the Beddy starts suddently to slightly overheat, after checking the temperatures of the different hoses, I thought that the problem was the thermostat. I removed it and everything whent back to normal temperature. I could drive the 750 kms remaining without problem.
After checking in boiling water, it shows that the suspected thermostat does not work anymore.
Cheers

Hello Everyone,
twas good to meet so many Beddy lovers, at Sutton St.Edmund last weekend only sorry we couldn't stay.
Met so many new people probably won't remember your names, gets harder as you get older doesn't it?
thanks to you all for making us feel so welcome, we are really looking forward to the bedford gathering.
Maurice and Paulette, if only my French were as good as your English.
Vicky, Paul, Peter, Mary, Andrew and Poppy the greyhound.
